Skeptics In The Castle is the Cork Skeptics‘ unique variation on the very popular Skeptics In The Pub movement, in which skeptic groups regularly gather for drinks, chat and (often) a talk from a prominent member of the skeptic or science communities. More
Cork Skeptics is a group dedicated to promoting skepticism, science, and rational thinking in Cork City, Ireland and beyond.
Their aim is to encourage a rational and inquisitive attitude towards all manner of topics, from the paranormal to alternative medicine, while connecting and interacting with the burgeoning national and international skeptical movement.
On the third Friday of each month, they host a talk at Blackrock Castle Observatory which they have dubbed Skeptics In The Castle.
QED (Question, Explore, Discover) is a skeptic, science, and critical thinking conference held yearly in the UK and organized by North West Skeptical Events Ltd, a committee representing the Merseyside Skeptics Society and the Greater Manchester Skeptics. Held in the spring, QED has been located in the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester since its 2011 debut. More
